De kennisbasis is gebaseerd op wetenschappelijke bronnen en praktijkervaringen. Hieronder vind je een overzicht van de gebruikte wetenschappelijke bronnen. Iedere bron is voorzien van een kern en een uitwerking. De kern geeft een kort beeld van de belangrijkste inzichten uit de bron, daarna volgt een uitwerking die nog meer inzicht geeft. In veel gevallen is ook de oorspronkelijke bron te downloaden.
